Amy Ohmer, Director of the International Children's Advisory Network, Inc. (iCAN), Amy specializes in creating collaboration through patient-centered programs by focusing on the needs of patients/families as partners within research and medical communities. She is an active advocate for clinical research leading to better outcomes through co-design at the T1DX Advisory Board, Patient Advisor for the American Board of Medical Specialties, member of C.S. Mott Children's Hospital PFAC, and American Diabetes Association Call to Congress Patient Advocate. In 2019, Amy was the recipient of the Sally Joy Award and in 2020, earned the T1DX Outstanding Patient Advocate Award. At home, Amy enjoys spending time with her family in her home state of MI.
